TITLE: Housekeeper

LOCATION: Covington, KY

TYPE: Hourly, Part-time

JOB SUMMARY

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping duties, to maintain orderly and sanitary conditions in the Provincial House.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

1. Cleans assigned areas by dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing and vacuuming.
2. Follows established cleaning schedule to assure designated areas of the building are maintained in
   an orderly manner.
3. Adaptability and flexibility in following cleaning schedule to meet individual needs of Sisters.
4. Performs assigned extra intensive cleaning of buildings on a regular basis.
5. Collects and disposes of trash in appropriate manner.
6. Assists in the moving of heavy objects as needed.
7. Assists in the main laundry as needed.
8. Assembles and uses necessary equipment and supplies. This includes but is not limited to hand
   tools, motorized equipment, chemical and cleaning utensils to address specific work assignments.
9. Other related duties and responsibilities within the scope of this position.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Frequent lifting, up to 50 pounds.
2. Standing for long periods and occasionally climbing ladders.
3. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and detergents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITITES REQUIRED

• High School or GED graduate
• Ability to be flexible to meet changing needs of the Sisters.
• Ability to read and understand written and written instructions.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, lift, squat, climb ladders, and work overhead.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 50 pounds without restrictions.
• Ability to operate related machinery, such as, vacuum sweeper, floor stripper, waxing equipment,
  and floor buffer.
